Inmate Released Due to Health Concerns
Family members of a man who died of a drug overdose say the woman accused of providing him with the drug is escaping justice. Detectives arrested Carolyn Shade on April 10th of this year on second degree murder charges. They say she provided 25 year old Kelly Rathburn with methadone. Rathburn died last Easter from an overdose. Shade was released after meeting her bond, which had been changed. Officials say Shade has a highly contagious illness and she could not be kept in the jail with other inmates.
