Shootings In Gaffney May Be Work Of A Serial Killer

Investigators in Cherokee County say five shootings in as many days, may be the work of a serial killer.

The Sheriffs Department says the suspect is very unpredictable.

They say they have not found any evidence of a hit list.

Law enforcement says do not let people you do not know into your house, and be cautious about who comes into your business.

If you see anyone acting suspicious, you are asked to call 911.

An electronics store owner is the latest person to be shot and killed in Gaffney. Friends say Steve Tyler was killed, his 16-year-old daughter, Abby is in critical condition.

The shootings come a day after an elderly woman and her daughter were killed and days after a prominent peach farmer was killed.

There was also a chase on Highway 11 where shots were fired, and a woman was killed. Investigators are now saying that incident is unrelated to the earlier shootings.

Stay tuned to News 13 for the latest developments in this still breaking story.
